Marsha Hunt | Born 1917

At the age of 103, Marsha Hunt is now the oldest living and one of the last surviving actors from the Golden Age of Hollywood. She, too, is the most senior living member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. However, come the 1950s, the Hollywood film studio executives blacklisted the actress. Despite that, though, she still managed to appear in the 1971 movie Johnny Got His Gun.

From here, Hunt became active in the humanitarian cause of world hunger amid the blacklist era. She went on to help several homeless shelters, express her support for same-sex marriage, raise climate change awareness, and promote peace in Third World countries. Hunt put her time into good use despite the ordeals. Though her career started to pick up in 1957, getting six more movie credits, she announced her semi-retirement in 1960.
