Jane Fonda | Born 1937
Jane Fonda has been an icon of Hollywood for decades. Beloved and hated by many, she became well-known throughout the ‘60s and ‘70s as a sex symbol. Among her most famous films include Klute, Coming Home, Barbella, and Sunday in New York. In addition, she is famous for her activism, especially during the ‘70s. While this led to her desired outcome of greater exposure to events around the world, it also adversely affected her career, as she was blacklisted for some time and received backlash at home.
Aside from acting and activism, she has been known for her own workout series during the ‘80s. This became the highest-selling series on VHS, with over 17 million copies sold. Even at age 83, Fonda might as well just have turned 50 years old. Over the years, Fonda has been given credit for her craft, including two Oscars, seven Golden Globes, and a Primetime Emmy.
