Meryl Streep & Don Gummer | 43 years

Meryl Streep first met Don Gummer in the late ’70s after being introduced by the actress’ brother, Harry. During this time, the two kept in touch through letters, and their friendship became increasingly serious to the degree that it blossomed into a romance. Streep reportedly wasn’t convinced she was ready to have a new relationship, but a friend encouraged her to get to know Gummer if she liked him. True enough, the Kramer vs. Kramer actress ended up staying in his loft.

Several months later, on September 30, 1978, the duo tied the knot. Their wedding ceremony was held in Streep’s parents’ house on Mason’s Island, Connecticut. In the years since, the pair have welcomed four kids together: Mamie, Grace, Henry, and Louisa. Louisa is now a model, Henry is a musician, and Mamie and Grace have carved a path in Hollywood just like their mom.
